2021 Summer School
Summer School Session Ends
7/16/21: Summer School at LPUMS ended on Thursday, July 16 after a 6-week program. This year's coordinator is Math teacher Kathleen Salas (2nd from left). There were two teams made up of the following teachers (from left):
- Juvy Carino (Robotics),
- Hannah Guevara (LA/Reading),
- Vincent Aguon (Science),
- Jennifer Flory (Math),
- Christian Gomez (LA/Reading),
- Tony Gumataotao (Science),
- Nichole Taimanglo (Math), and
- Rozalyn Pama (Robotics).
New Student Orientations for SY2021-2022
6-28-21: Luis P. Untalan Middle School will be holding orientations for new students (incoming 6th graders or 7th and 8th graders who are new to the school).
Orientations will be held on July 26, 27, and 28 at the school cafeteria. Due to the limited space, we ask that parents and guardians RSVP for their slot to attend.

7-13-21: RSVP link is now closed. Please call the school at 300-2726 if you have any questions. The presentation will be available to view after the orientation dates for those who missed the orientation.
Students watch GPD Dogs in action
7/1/21: Summer school students were able to watch a presentation by the Guam Police Department's Special Operations K9 Unit. Sgt. Paul Tapao, GPD Public Information Officer, and two of the K9 Unit handlers spoke to an assembly of students in the school cafeteria. Then, they demonstrated the skills of one of the unit's trained dog.
Wildcat represents Guam in Leadership Conference in DC
6-28-21: Isabela V. Olivario, a Pre-AP 8th grade student of L.P. Untalan Middle School, is attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., until July 1. Isabela was nominated based on academic and leadership achievement. The Jr. NYLC Program is designed to educate, inspire, and motivate students by giving them the confidence and leadership skills that will take them through high school, college and beyond. Isabela is the daughter of Efren and Carrie Olivario, residents of Dededo.
Staff & Administration Provide Happy Labor
6-25-21: Due to the school in between maintenance contracts for campus landscaping, the school staff and administration spent their Friday work day cutting the grass, chopping overgrown plants and trees, pulling weeds and other happy labor around campus.
Wildcats Excel in Summer School
6-24-21: Students were treated to a presentation by the Guahan Sustainable Culture organization. Michelle Crisostomo, Marlyn Oberiano and Dave Crisostomo (with the University of Guam's Sea Grant) and Micah Eclavea presented and had students take home a microgreenery vegetable garden.

Summer School Begins June 7
6-2-21: Luis P. Untalan Middle School will have a summer school session for 6th to 8th graders that will be online or face-to-face. The session will run from June 7 until July 16. Students will have Language Arts, Science, Math, Robotics and Character Ed classes from Monday to Thursday.
Students registered for summer school will have an orientation on Friday, June 4 at the LPUMS Cafeteria. Please view the flyer.
