Eric Garrido Tribute Page
Mr. Eric Garrido passed away on the evening of May 23, 2022. He was our 6th grade science teacher in Team Cheetahs.
At LPUMS for about 10 years, Mr. Garrido held many leadership positions. He was Chairperson of the School Climate Cadre, and often spoke during the school assemblies—encouraging students to improve their behaviors and to be kind to each other. The morning of his passing was the last time he spoke in front of the student body.
Mr. Garrido was admired and praised by many of his fellow wildcats as someone who was very giving of his time and help—from putting up the gym scoreboard one weekend to working on the STEM garden with his students to coming on the weekends to construct billboards and STEM structures to heading an accreditation committee numerous times to constantly being in the hallways to tell students to stop running or just to tell them to have a good day to lending all kinds of assistance to the staff and administration beyond his teaching responsibilities.
We miss Mr. Garrido very much. May he rest in peace.
